This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit this website, in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the German BDSG.

2. Hosting & server log files

This website is hosted on servers located in Germany, operated by our hosting provider selfHOST (c/o Ludwig Richter, Grimmaische Straße 14, 04720 Döbeln, Germany), with whom a data-processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitung, Art. 28 GDPR) is in place. When you access the site, the provider automatically records server log files (your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating-system information). This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is not merged with other data.

3. Contact form & email

If you contact us through the contact form or by email, the data you provide (name, email address, country and your message) is processed solely to handle your enquiry, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR. We keep this data only for as long as necessary to deal with your request; if the enquiry leads to a mandate, it is retained for the duration of the mandate and afterwards in line with statutory retention periods (in particular under the German Commercial Code and Fiscal Code). You may withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Map (OpenStreetMap)

The contact page shows a map via OpenStreetMap, operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom). When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap so the map tiles can be delivered to your browser. This is based on our legitimate interest in showing our meeting location (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). OpenStreetMap does not set advertising cookies.

5. Google Ads conversion tracking

This site can use Google Ads conversion tracking (provided by Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure whether a visit followed from one of our adverts. This uses cookies or similar identifiers and may involve a transfer of data to Google LLC in the USA. It is therefore activated only with your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give or decline through the cookie banner shown on your first visit and can withdraw at any time with effect for the future (for example by clearing this site's data in your browser). If you decline, no Google Ads cookies are set and no connection to Google is established.

6. Web fonts

The fonts used on this website (Spectral and IBM Plex Sans) are hosted locally on our own server. When they load, no connection to Google servers is established and no personal data is transferred to Google.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us this would be the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW).
